Pointe undertakes both permeation grouting and compaction grouting.

Permeation grouting, also known as injection grouting, is the injection of a viscous grout through the formation either in rock fractures or between a soil matrix. This is done by drilling a borehole, installing a packer or lance and pumping the grout into the formation.

Compaction grouting is injection of low mobility grout into voids (void filling) or unconsolidated material.

Pointe has experience injecting cement grout, microfine cement grout, polyurethanes, colloidal silica and sodium silicate.

Our capabilities include:

  • Mine subsidence grouting

  • Dam grouting

  • Tunnel grouting

  • Cement or chemical grout

  • Investigation, design and scoping

PERMEATION GROUTING

Pointe is an Australian ground improvement contractor that specialises in grouting. Grouting is the process by which open geological features are sealed to control water or improve strength. This is completed by drilling and then injecting a suspension of solids in water (e.g cement grout) or a pure chemical solution.
